This is an excellent product. It is easy to use with simple instructions. I am a 52 year old female who had never had to repair a fuel tank or fuel inlet hose before. It was easy to do and very cost effective with this kit. I will be buying more as it is also suitable for small rust repairs. Brilliant !

I used this kit to repair a stress fracture in a plastic lawn mower fuel tank. It was in a very awkward position, in amongst various mounded bits and on a corner, but the repair has worked well with no leakage after a week and several mowing sessions. This is a one-shot treatment. The material comes in a two-compartment plastic bag which you squeeze to break the seal between the compartments and then knead to mix the two components thoroughly. The mixed material is quite runny (compared with standard epoxy) which is a good think, as it gave good penetration into the crack, although excess does tend to drip off, leaving a layer a few mm thick, so don't feel you have to use the whole pack if you don't need it. It was a cold day when I used it (around 5C) but it set well. I left it overnight before refitting the tank to be on the safe side, but you could probably use it after a couple of hours, especially if it is warmer weather. I didn't use the fibreglass patch, but I can see that it would work well for larger holes, especially on a flatter part of the tank. I was careful to clean the area beforehand thoroughly, including with meths, and I did sand it to help adhesion, which probably helped. Although this is a one-shot kit, it does the job and is way cheaper than a new tank. Thoroughly recommended.Read full review

Worked excellently, I used it on my classic motor bike tank because I didn't want to replace it because its original, it also looks nice and neat you can see it at the bottom of the tank, however I would make sure you drain the tank even though it says you don't have to, will use it again for sure.

Repaired a metal fuel tank on a lawn mower and a plastic tank from a strimmer and both are totally sealed and have been used loads of times without any sign of leaking. Only advice is be prepared to use this stuff fast once mixed. It sets fast as anything, you need to have everything ready. Literally 5 minutes from mixing to nearly solid no matter what the instructions say. But is excellent stuff.
